My little money pit

About two years ago my hubby decided that I needed something very special for my birthday as I was turning the big 30. I had asked for all the usual things, you know a pony, a little vespa scooter, smelly old retro furniture.
Instead he bought me something that went against everything he stood for. He bought me a 67 VW Beetle. Initially it was an old girl by the name of Beatrice. I loved her because she had the smell of 40 years of bum and degrading vinyl. I was so nostalgic, it all took me back to when I was 21 and went and purchased my first beetle, a 61 named Bertie. Bertie also had an odd smell and like many beetles would work his windscreen wipers when he felt like it. I loved that car
But then I met Betty. Unlike Beatrice here cancerous rust was minimal and she came in the sexiest colour in the world. Flat Black sprayed on with paint cans. I fell in love and suddenly it was over for Beatrice and my affair with Betty began.
Two years on and Bad Betty still has a few issues but what 41 year old woman doesn’t? Most of all she’s mean and sexy and I love her. I also love hubby for making her happen at last.
